Interim Site
Tyee Assistant Principal Jay Novelo leads a tour of the Olympic Interim Site, where Tyee students will attend school for two years (2023-24 and 2024-25) while a new Tyee High School building is constructed. Behind him is the entrance to the gym, cafeteria and auxiliary gym at the Olympic Interim Site. Scroll down to read more information and to see photos and a video.
The Olympic Interim Site is the temporary home of the Tyee Titans for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years! It is located at 615 South 200th Street in Des Moines, across the street from North Hill Elementary School.
The Olympic Interim site was renovated in 2018. It was home to Highline High School during its construction phase from 2019-21. This temporary move will allow a new Tyee High School building to be constructed at Tyee with funding from the bond approved by Highline voters in November 2022.
Highline Public Schools successfully managed the temporary move and transportation of Highline High School to this same site when that new school was under construction.
We want you to feel comfortable and at home while Tyee High School is located at our interim site. Read answers to questions you may have and see video and photos of the Olympic Interim Site:
