Two Tyee Events
Join us to say goodbye and hello! Please RSVP below to help us plan.
Goodbye: All are welcome to enjoy a last walk through campus to say goodbye to the old Tyee buildings and hello to alumni and Friends of Tyee on Thursday, July 27. Drop by between 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Groundbreaking: Join us to celebrate the historic groundbreaking ceremony for a new Tyee High School on Friday, August 18, at 3:15 p.m. near the old football field at Tyee.
Absher Construction Company was selected as the general contractor for the Tyee High School replacement project. Integrus Architecture designed the new school.
Tyee Goodbye Event
Thursday, July 27
4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
- Last chance to walk through campus before the salvage work is completed and the demolition phase begins.
- Some of the spaces will be open, but not all of the buildings.
- Casual, drop-in event.
Tyee Groundbreaking Ceremony
Friday, August 18
3:15 - 4:30 p.m.
- Near the old football field, behind the school.
- Speakers and light refreshments.
- Tents and some seating will be provided.
- Mementos from the old Tyee will be available while supplies last -- pieces of the stage floor with commemorative labels!
- Interpretation assistance available.
- Ceremony begins at 3:15 p.m.
