Suddenly a lot of yellow covers the new Tyee High School construction project. The buildings are sheathed with bright yellow backer board in preparation for the exterior finish materials to be installed.
Also bright yellow, the large chambers for the stormwater detention system are now buried below ground.
Other construction activities included:
- Right of way improvement work at the 188th Street entrance.
- Concrete brick wall installation in the northwest corner of the new school facility
- Overhead mechanical, electrical and plumbing installation in the north middle section of the building.
- Exterior framing work in the administrative/library building in the southeast section of the school footprint and another section on the west side.
- Installing the roofing system in the commons (north) and classroom wing (east).
- Pouring a concrete slab on a metal deck on the west side of the new facility.
