Last fall, Chinook Middle School and Tyee High School announced new mascots: the Chinook Dragons (formerly the Thunderbirds) and the Tyee Titans (formerly the Tyee Totems).
This spring, school committees of students and staff worked on bringing these mascots to life. Committees are excited to share their new logos and mascots, which are based on student feedback and months of work.
Chinook Dragons
The Dragons are brave, energetic, strong, kind and diverse. Logo colors remain the same, a bright red and black to honor the past. The dragon is fierce, with wings to soar and fire to protect.
Tyee Titans
The Titans are strong, brave and kind. Students see the Titan as a protector. The new logo features a shield to represent protection. The shape harkens back to the crest in their previous logo. The lightning bolt represents strength and power and connects to the land. The shield is framed in a ribbon of Ts.
In the coming weeks and months, you will see these logos on websites, social media and spirit wear. Thank you to our school committees for their dedication and work.
Go Titans and Dragons!
