Family, Staff and Community Feedback for the Co-Principal Search

Family, Staff and Community Feedback for the Co-Principal Search

Tim Schlosser will be leaving us at the end of the school year. It is time for us to begin the search for a new co-principal. (See his message below.)

The insights of staff, families and community members will help us search for a new co-principal for Tyee High School. What characteristics or strengths do you believe are most important for the new principal to possess?

Please share your input

Superintendent Enfield will consider your input along with other information as she selects a new principal.

Dear Tyee Families,

I am writing to share with you that I will be leaving Tyee High School at the end of this school year. My family has made the decision to move back to Japan next year to be closer to my wife’s family. I have accepted a leadership opportunity at a school in Sapporo, and we will move after the school year ends.

It will not be easy for me to leave. I love the staff, students, and community at Tyee, and I am proud to be part of the work in Highline Public Schools under Superintendent Enfield’s leadership.

Victoria Terry will continue as co-principal this year and next year. In January, the district will begin a hiring process for a new co-principal to serve with Ms. Terry. You will have an opportunity to provide input as part of that process.

I want to assure you that I am fully committed to the Tyee community through the end of this year.

Tim Schlosser, Co-principal
