Dear Tyee Families,
I look forward to welcoming you and your students to the Olympic Interim Site in September. The Tyee High School Titans will be at the Olympic Site for two years while a new school is constructed at our current site. We plan to return to a new Tyee High School building in Fall 2025.
Questions and Answers about Tyee at the Olympic Interim Site
Our “Interim Site” website page under “About Us” on the Tyee High School website has many Olympic site photos, a video tour, and answers to the following questions you may have:
- What is the address and location?
- How will students get to the interim school site?
- When will students know their bus schedule and bus stop?
- Is there Metro bus service for family events?
- How will students get to sports practice and home from sports or activities?
- Where will sports practices and competitions be located?
- Where can students access HealthPoint medical and behavioral health services?
I invite you to look at a series of photos of the Olympic Interim Site to see the classrooms, office, library, gym, cafeteria, fields, big trees and more! Assistant Principal Jay Novelo kindly posed for some of the photos and provided a photo tour for you!
Tyee teacher Matt Setter filmed a fun virtual tour with some aerial views. Take a look!
Titan Day at the Olympic Interim Site
Look for information coming this summer about Titan Day, which will be held shortly before school starts, for all students and families. This event will give students a chance to tour the Olympic Site campus, meet teachers and familiarize themselves with the interim site.
Groundbreaking Event to Celebrate the Start of Construction for a New Tyee High School Building...
Later this summer, you will receive an email invitation to an event celebrating the beginning of construction of the new Tyee High School—a groundbreaking ceremony to be held on the existing football field. I am waiting for the date to be announced.
Thank you for a wonderful last year at the old school. I’m excited to move into our space at Olympic for the next two years, and I hope you are, too!
