SENIORS LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

Tuesday, June 18, 2019

Due to weather delays this year, the last day of school for seniors is June 18 (The state allows seniors to miss the last five days of the school year)  Students are expected to attend school, and attendance will be taken accordingly.  Students will also need to have completed all of their course requirements—for example, if a class that a senior is in has a final on June 17, and commencement was held on June 13, they need to be at school and complete the final on June 17. In this example, if a student does not attend and complete the final, they will not have completed the course regardless of when commencement was held.

Participating in the commencement ceremony does not necessarily mean that a student has actually completed their requirements and will get a diploma.

While we recognize this is a bit unusual, having participated in the ceremony does not eliminate a student's need to finish their courses, even if that occurs post-commencement.
