Tyee Health Science Program

Gain the skills needed for high-wage medical careers!

Program Highlights

Career Preparation

Students will gain the skills needed for high-wage medical careers, with opportunities to earn Industry Recognized Credentials and pursue college degrees in the medical field.

Foundational Courses

9th and 10th graders will engage in hands-on Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses such as Human Body Systems, Intro to Health Science Careers, and Medical Terminology.

Pathway Options

In 11th and 12th grade, students can choose from:

  • Nursing Assistant Pathway: Earn a Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC).
  • Pre-Allied Health Pathway: Explore careers like Physical Therapist or Radiologic Technologist.
  • College in the High School Pathway: Earn college credits towards a two- or four-year degree in the medical field.

Students will have access to guest speakers, job shadowing, internships, and work-based learning opportunities. We are currently working to secure an industry partner to support the development and launch of this new program.
