Highline School District currently offers a new system for students to access Physical Education Equivalency credits through the Directed Athletics independent course.
Students participating in a school or community sport can receive a 0.5 PE credit. This new PE Equivalency Credit system adheres to both district and state policies and procedures.
Beginning in the 2017-18 school year, students must enroll in Directed Athletics at the beginning of their sport season. Students must take Directed Athletics as an independent study in correlation with that same sport season to receive a 0.5 PE credit.
Note: Students are eligible to receive credit through Directed Athletics for sports played prior to the 2017-18 school year.
