Program Structure

For the first semester of the 2022-23 school year, any student who is interested in the WELS program will take their regularly scheduled classes at Tyee and have an advisory with the WELS teacher. In the second semester,  students will be able to take WELS specific classes in addition to classes needed to meet graduation requirements and prepared for the future they choose.

Camp Waskowitz

Any student interested in being a leader at Camp Waskowitz can still sign up to be a One Week Leader (OWL). OWLs must attend the Leadership Training Weekend (LTW) September 24th and 25th. More information about LTW and being an OWL will be sent to schools in early September.

Students go to Camp Waskowitz as one-week leaders in our elementary outdoor school experience. This solidifies their learning and leadership skills as they cultivate an outdoor experience for 5th-grade students and teachers.
